FAQ
Questions brand owners usually ask.
Minimum order, samples, labels, licences, claims and formulas. If your question is not here, send it with your brief.
Are you the manufacturer or a trading company?
Products are manufactured at the Baqai Healthcare facility on GT Karnal Road Industrial Area, Delhi. VIYO Organic is the brand and the commercial contact, Baqai Healthcare is the manufacturing unit, and Baqai Dawa Khana is a Unani clinic and manufacturer of Unani products since 1930. Ask about a facility visit in your brief.
What is the minimum order quantity?
It depends on the format (resin, liquid or capsules), the pack size and the packaging you choose. We put the MOQ in your written quote instead of advertising one headline number that may not apply to your pack. If you are planning a first launch, tell us the quantity you have in mind and we will say plainly whether it works.
Can I see samples before placing an order?
Samples can usually be arranged before a production order. Mention the format in your brief and we will confirm what is available and on what terms with your quote.
Can my own brand name and label go on the product?
Yes, that is what private-label manufacturing means: the pack carries your brand. Label content must follow the labelling rules for the licence route your product is made under, so we review your artwork with you before anything is printed.
Do I need my own licence to sell a Shilajit product under my brand?
It depends on the licensing route for your product and the market you sell in. At the start of a project we explain the route that applies and which permissions sit with you and which with the manufacturer. Please confirm with your own regulatory adviser as well. Nothing on this website is legal advice.
Can I have my own formula or add other ingredients?
Custom formulations are reviewed case by case against the facility licence scope and the permissions that apply to each ingredient. Some combinations need extra review and some cannot be made. Describe what you have in mind in your brief.
What can I say on my label and in my advertising?
Claims for Ayurvedic and Unani products in India are controlled by the Drugs and Cosmetics Act and the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, 1954. We do not write disease claims or sexual-performance claims for any brand, and we review label claims with you so that your launch does not start with a compliance problem.
What documents do you provide?
We share the product documents relevant to your format during onboarding. That can include the specification, test results and batch documents. Tell us in your brief which documents your marketplaces, distributors or importers ask for and we will confirm what we can supply.
Do you manufacture anything other than Shilajit?
The Baqai facility lists a wider Unani range, including syrups, tablets and pills, capsules, oils, powders, arq and semi-solid preparations. Each request is reviewed against licence scope and formulation permission before we quote, so describe the product you have in mind.
Can you manufacture for export?
Export enquiries are welcome. What is needed depends on the destination country, so tell us where you plan to sell and we will discuss documents and feasibility with you before quoting.
How long does a project take?
It depends on whether you start from an existing formulation, which licensing route applies, how quickly artwork is approved and how long your packaging takes to arrive. You receive a written timeline with your quote instead of a generic number.
Who owns the brand, artwork and formula?
Your brand name, logo and artwork remain yours. Formula ownership, exclusivity and confidentiality are agreed in writing before work starts, and we are happy to sign a mutual NDA.
